The International Nothing is the duo project of Berlin-based clarinetists Kai Fagaschinski and Michael Thieke. Both musicians mainly perform as improvisers, but in The International Nothing they play their own compositions, focusing throughout on the resonance of the clarinet's uniquely soft and warm timbres. The interweaving of the two clarinets creates delicate sonic inter-reverberation and fluctuation, resulting in music of exquisite beauty and tension. Following "Mainstream" (2006) and "Less Action, Less Excitement, Less Everything" (2010), this is The International Nothing's brilliant third album. The six tracks were recorded in Berlin in September 2013.

インターナショナル・ナッシング (The International Nothing) は、ドイツ、ベルリンを拠点に活動するクラリネット奏者のふたり、カイ・ファガシンスキー (Kai Fagaschinski) とミヒャエル・ティーケ (Michael Thieke) のデュオ・プロジェクト。ふたりとも即興演奏家として活動することが多いが、インターナショナル・ナッシングは作曲作品を演奏するプロジェクトで、どの曲も彼らが作曲・演奏し、クラリネット独特の柔らかで暖かみある音色の "響き" に徹頭徹尾こだわっている。クラリネット２本の絡みを通して音の微妙な響き合いや揺らぎが生み出す美しさと緊張感は絶品。本作は、2006年リリースのデビュー・アルバム『Mainstream』、2010年リリースのセカンド・アルバム『Less Action, Less Excitement, Less Everything』に続く、Ftarri レーベルがリリースするインターナショナル・ナッシングのサード・アルバム。2013年９月ベルリンで録音した６曲を収録。
